That perfect ARMCHAIR

Today while shopping for some stuffs in KL i found the perfect armchair for my house. Its so nice. the color, the shape, the texture. PERFECT. Now i just need to convince the banker to invest in it.

Yet another dream

I had always imagined about how my mid 20's would be. Living alone in a flat with simple but chic interior. Having coffee in a coffee shop while reading my newest book every afternoon. Come home, cook dinner and bake my desert and bread for the next morning. Start painting again in my workshop and designing my own home furnishing brand. Go to gym and visit the orphanage while dropping off some cakes and biscuits I baked the night before. I would visit my cafe, managing the staffs while figuring out new promotions and menu for the cafe.

Every other day I would go out with my girl and catch a movie, cook her dinner and take a walk on the beach or park. I would go to my parent's house and have dinner every weekend. I would hang out with my friends, visit my God father and have interesting conversations.

Every week I would take my nephews out for some grocery shopping and let them play with my cat named KAT (short for KATHY). I would also study for my second degree in interior design while going for a part time course in cooking and business. I would try to help my parents with my two little sister’s educations.

Yes this is how I imagine my mid 20's would be. I almost have it all but life is really a strange thing, when you thought you almost have it all; it’s all gone. Papa and Krystyn are right, I am a man and I cannot afford to break down so often. The only reason I am writing all this today is because I wanted to remind myself of my own dreams, my ambition, and the way of life I had planned since I was a boy.

I know I have a long way to go before I have all this and maybe I would not achieve it by my 25th birthday but I am certain to work for it. There is no point of wanting something without working for it. I started to paint, bake and design the remaining portion of Kaye Residence. I managed to get her attention again. I got two dozen cupcakes order from my neighbour to fulfil this weekend, finding cooking and interior design school as well. It’s a start. I hope everything would turn out ok.

Excuse me.

I had to admit that the only reason why I did not post anything on this blog all this while is because I’m distancing my self. I haven’t been my self lately, mounted feelings. I kept on thinking why I should update my blog? Why should I bother to care to write? Yes I’m angry and I am sad. Why? I feel like a creep, writing crap in monotonous tone of chirpiness. Fuck, why should I pretend to be happy when I’m not?

Yes I am not happy. I am not happy with work, with my self, my weight; my freaking messed up houses, the way I look, the way i write, etc. To sum it all I’m not happy at all and I’m trying freaking hard to be happy but I’m not.

So what if some whack said I am one ungrateful person, having all that I have and still unhappy. How can I be happy? Tell me, how can I be happy when all my life I was never able to do things that makes me truly happy, never to follow my own ambition, scared to eat that extra food coz people freaking comment on my 0.5kg weight gain, telling me how ugly I am all the time regardless the efforts I put to look good, never once feel special about my self. Soon to be locked away in that 7ft barbed wired, photo-beamed prison.

Until i can cope with all these madness again i will not post. I need some time to find peace again.

Aku dah sewel

It’s not written on stone. Yes that’s what it is. I ponder, I braised, and I faze and paused. This is the reality, this is the thing, this is it and it is now. She is back. Some assassination of character, deter but needed.

Fascinations brailed comforts lost, blind. Do I need to, shall I, mere questions. Doubts rose shackled in mind poisons the heart. Dabbled deep, heart thwarted torn of past mistakes. Yes, I should.

Heroes 3 "Villains"

I came upon this trailer while browsing youtube. The very much and long anticipated Heroes series.

In support of product RED

If you went through my archive you can find a post about product RED and all the good things they are doing to save and help countries which are struggling with AIDS.

Today I would like to present to you the work of an aspiring interior designer and also my good friend Norul Haidar Zainudin. This aspiring fresh grad designer had produced and designed a space/boutique for product RED. These are some pictures of her design. As her friend I would say I’m really proud that she had chosen to design for Product Red. Although this project only served as her final year project and not a life project I think she did a really good job. One, designing for a brand with a good cause and secondly I really like her designs.

If you have any inquiries about her designs and probably about the designer herself you can contact the designer using the following details:

Name: Norul Haidar Zainudin
Email: norulhaidar@gmail.com

Happy birthday!

My nephew Rahyyan Iman turned 2 years old yesterday and naturally the house is full with new toys. Here is a picture of him, my bro in law and one of his many new toys! Happy bday Ryan

Rahyyan, my bro in law and his new toy

This is delicious

These are some sort of maggots or I donno what to call them and they are disgusting. In other Asian countries they are actually fried and eaten as snacks but here in Malaysia they are fish food. Yum Yum best fried and buttered to perfection! Enjoy!

Divisadero

I managed to finish reading a book today. The title of the book is “divisadero”, and yes I know you would think it’s so Indian. Yes the name may reminded you of a Curry house somewhere (well, I did hahahah)

This book was written by Michael Ondaajte which I’m sorry to say this. It took me sometime to actually remember that he also wrote The English Patient which was then made into a movie. Apparently he is very famous and I feel quite ashamed of my self for forgetting it, after all The English Patient movie was one of my favourite movie; and before you even asked, yes I do love those really slow movies.

In short the book is about 3 siblings which grew up together and then later got separated after a terrible traumatic experience. That’s all I’m telling ya! Go and get the book your self and read it. It’s kinda slow, but it was beautifully written.

The Kite Runner's sibling

The kite runner made quite a stir in the market lately. With the movie which came out not long ago and Khaled Hosseini promoting the Kite Runner’s sibling “A thousand Splendid Suns” the stir continues and continues. Wow I bet he is making tons of money as we speak. Hehehe.

A thousand splendid suns like its sibling the kite runner is a story that evolved in the setting of Afghanistan. Hosseini the writer has done it again.. Although I had read halfway to chapter 2 I gotta admit that this second book is really good. I love the colourful settings, the beautiful descriptions of Afghanistan and its culture, but what I love the most is how he depicted the violence that we all never knew was happening or even existed in Afghanistan before it was invaded. (If it was true)

This second book is as “splendid” as its title. I suggest you to pick up the phone and reserve one copy for your self now….or else you will regret it! Like my best friend and I love to say! “Buy! Buy! Buy! Buy!” hahahaa

My dream

So I am pretty sure some people are getting bored with my Shopping, Shopping and shopping entry. I am pretty sure that some people are thinking what a materialistic person I am. Hmm ok maybe I am at times but not all the time. Today I will not brag about what I already got but instead I will brag about what I dream off having /getting one day; with my own money with my own sweat. No not from mum and dad's a/c.

I will start with this bag. It is something that I would buy to mark my independent self and celebrating my youth. It’s a Louis Vuitton Keepall 45 which I checked 4 days ago worth RM 3850 but I doubt it would cost as such in 3 years time. Probably higher later but its ok.

this is probably keepal 50 or 55 im not sure, keepall 45 is smaller than this but looks the same.

The second thing i want to get for my self is a Tissot Clasic Prince. I dont know the price but i guess it would be around 1k. i had always been in love with this watch and was once offered by my dad as a birthday present but i refused because to me this is my dream and keeping it as a dream would mean so much more in the process of growing, both as a person and as a son. Although its not that expensive but i fell in love with it when i was 16 and i still do....

Tissot Classic Prince

There is a along list to be written here if I really want to write but I will save it for later. Those two items are in my priority list besides from subjects such as cars, wife, kids, house, you know those every human needs. This is why it is called a dream coz you don’t really need it you just want it!

Mum and Dad

I gotta admit that I had written nothing about my family in this blog. So here is something about them. Continuing with the story of my shopping adventure in KLCC on Saturday here are untold plots that involved my parents.

On top is mum and dad at LV

Spotted at Louis Vuitton is MR and MRS Hasib along with their two daughters and their only son (hey that’s me! That’s me hahaha). Mum wanted a bag from there. After LV and a few other shops, dad just couldn’t resist buying dinner wares from Royal Doulton shop which he bought massive amount of Royal Albert dinner wares for extensive amount of money (sounded like buying sinner wear then dinner ware, ps:he is so gonna kill me if he heard that!).

this is the "sinnerware" design and the paper bags in this picture is only 1/3 of it.

Then we got my stuffs at Desigual and some more stuffs for my two little sisters. On the way back dad and I went to one of the art gallery and we found these really amazing and beautiful paintings. It’s an original art pieces by a Malaysian artist. 6k for 3 original paintings are quite a bargain for us art lovers. As I learnt from my mistake with the glass palace I won’t disclose the location of the art gallery and the artist name. heheeh.

Ps: mum doesn’t know about the paintings. She is gonna kill us both if she finds out. The paintings will remain in the gallery until a suitable time is found for its removal or should I say “be bought with mild fabrication of truth”.

Designer I Love - Desigual

I went shopping last Saturday and couldn’t find anything to buy for my self. Either I already owned those or my parents wouldn’t approve. That is how it is when you shop with your parents. hehehe but it was fun tho. So we went browsing and looking from A (Armani) to Z (Zegna) then I came upon DESIGUAL. Desigual is a brand from Spain. The designs are basically what I would call JINJANG and SG. WANG orientated however underneath those JINGJANGNESS are some very beautifully crafted shirts and interesting t-shirts. So to end the story I got my self some stuffs from there. Surprisingly we didn’t break the bank to buy those. Hahaha. I really like the label that was sown on the shirt, it’s a robot! Yay! Check out their webbie at http://desigual.com

the pic is unclear coz its from my phone.

Fashion Smashion

Here is the thing. I don’t understand why women or girls are sometimes so stupid at picking up what they wear. I was at the KLCC parking bay last saturday and I saw this unknown women wearing this hideous legging. Guess what ITS BRIGHT MC DONNALS YELLOW! For God's sake just go jump a building and die so that your soul can come out of your body and take a look at your self coz the mirror definitely wasn’t working well for you miss. I don’t think that yellow legging goes well with that black and white look you are trying to pull. Even my 50 year old mom knows that. I’m sorry but you look like one of those wannabe celebrities that thinks you can get away with murder by wearing something like that. Sorry you are obviously not Lindsay Lohan.(even she couldn’t get away with what you pull)
