Disgusting!

What a disgusting thing that is! apparently its the new GENPETS. Here i quote some of the features:

"While the Genpets hang on the store shelves they are in a form of hibernation. Each Genpet™ package has a special nutrient feeding tube attached to it, supplying our specially formulated mix and keeping them healthy and asleep."

Credits to Krystyn and JJ for showing me this! now im sharing it with the world what a sick joke Gen pets are.

A friend's Car

Ok, along my way snapping photos for my Project Paper I stumbled upon an old school mate and he insisted that I take a photo of his really nice Perodua Kelisa. His car had been modified and the results are stunning.

The owner of this car is Amir Fozy and i quote " kalau ada awek tanye kereta siapa ni kenalkan lah kat aku". So girls, this guy is hunting now! dont just stare at the car, get your fingers out and write me a comment if you are interested ya! i will do my best to set you guys up together . hahahah

OMG I’m officially a match maker now!(sorry that i was rushing, snapped this picture in haste and it didn't turn out very well :-()

owh by the way i was also guessing it is a Perodua Kelisa but i wasn't sure tho....i forgot to ask!!!!!

First timer

A few days back I went to take some pictures for my project paper in Wangsa Maju and was accompanied by my God brother Cheah Jie Juan whom I called little boy of Kayelite Corp. hahaha i really don’t want to bore you with the details of that name.

As it turns out this 'little boy' had never dined in the Wangsa Maju KFC so we went and had supper. He was really excited and bough me a bottle of mineral water and cheesy melts. Why am I so proud to blog about it? Because this is his first time buying me supper! yay! Little boy has become big boy now! hahahah

This is a picture of him getting excited and greedy- (of coz) over a plate of KFC chicken. It was funny and fun. Thanks JJ for accompanying me and buying me supper!

I thought it would be really appropriate that I say THANK YOU to all of my readers in this blog itself. This blog has been up and running for barely 2 months but it attracted readers from all over the globe. I am truly surprised and honoured. To proof my case I would like to show you the map of recent reader’s location. Not many readers today since I skipped blogging for some time but I’m pretty sure they will come back. Thank you again. (Don’t worry bout your locations readers, it doesn’t show your house address or anything)

Kite Runner

This book had been the talk of my friends for a very long time and as usual i'm one of those "ketingalan zaman" feller who read it "bila dah ketinggalan zaman".

This book is very interesting to read, especially the culture of Afgan people and the settings where the story took place. The plot was somehow predictable. However the way it was written very much gave me as a reader intriguing sense of wanting to know how the plot would evolve. It is a very good book. Buy and read ya! My next conquest is The Glass Palace a story which is set in Mandalay, Burma. I am officially going ASIAN!

You can watch the movie too if you want!

Smoking kills

I am a fan of cancer sticks! (ciggies). Everyone knows how dangerous smoking is, tar nicotine and all those chemicals sucked into those pretty lungs and finnally rotting them but why do we still smoke? i donno! i donno! Stress, depressions, relieve? those are common answers if you ask any smokers why they smoke.

Here i would like to share some pictures of smoker's lungs and throat.

Now you have to think! i know i will.

Im back!

Hellow dear readers, your not so average writer is back on the blogstand! Yeah I know that sounds lame. News. Ok i am officially a bit outdated but these flares about Gossip Girls are definitely what I want to talk about. Yeah GG has those uptown royalties and stuffs, but here we have downtown royalties like me yay! (Gosh royalty is such a big word)

oh crap I’m bloggin (more like blabbering). What you see in that show kinda reminded me of loads of things I experienced in the past. Being a social outcast, loosing my best friends, being the talk of my community, scandals and secrets and betrayals well minus the lavish card swiping world that GG featured tho. Some people loves the show because they can never have that kind of lifestyles, the uptown socialites lifestyles, the clothes, the money, the glamour, the house, t
he girls and boys the wealth, the looks, but I love the show because of the reality that’s in it minus those mentioned above.

Conclusion. I’m sure everyone loves to gossip, let me tell you this, Gossips kills and those who gossips about other people kills the person they gossips about. Take me for an example, I donno why people loves talking about me. No I’m not bragging about it but yeah I’m sometimes disturbed. Quote “do you know kaye? He is so fat now", "OMG he was seen with this guy shopping at a mall, is he gay"', "I heard he is copying someone's style","he doesn't deserve the girl he is with","he is just playing that girl" "he crashed his car again" those are the normal ones and I rather not go into details about the gory ones.

Yeah its fun to gossips, although men denied that they gossips and escape to the comfort of using the word networking we all know that it carries the same meaning. In urban terms of coz.

Secrets, lies, betrayals, love, scandals are all apart or someone's life and what makes it so interesting to be unveiled? Simply coz knowledge is power.

Here is what I wanted to say to all those that gossips bout me. I can do whatever I want, I can shop with whoever whenever wherever I want, I buy things that I want because I can afford them, I be fat or thin coz I want it, I will befriend whoever I want and stop these nonsense bout me.

Keep this in mind. What if it is you?(been gossiped about) XOXO go die!

Structure i Love

This is something I saw in Shanghai that made me really gasp. It is a flyover with lights and odd shape. Underneath the flyover is a square that links all 5 malls in the area. It’s so cool! click the video to be amazed!

Remembering Mummy

It was really funny how it all started. She was my junior, my enemy and at the same time my most qualified adversary in school. Then high school ended. We started to become closer, past the enemy-adversary stage and became close friends. Met her mother and it all begun. I can remember the first time I met her mother, at a water filter shop that I was working at that time. Normal customer-shop keeper relation.

Time passed and a birthday party celebrating her in The Red Box, Low Yat Plaza. Conversations, laugh and stories made us closer, closer to her heart closer to her family. I still remember when we were in the elevator at the end of this celebration, this woman whom I now called “mummy” told us something like this: “Saiful, friends come and go but good friends are hard to find”. Yes it is true. Period. This is not a post about my dearest best friend Krystyn but for her mother whom I called mummy, my god mother.

I would write a book if I could and I would write a journal to eternalise her legacy. Humbly, my English is not that good and my vocabulary are limited; my England as mummy would say is a far cry from perfection. However, this will not stop me. England or any other language is not a language of love but merely a transaction medium of feelings.

“I am not here to replace your mother but I am here to compliment her” that is what mummy is and that is what mummy did. She complimented the role of my own mother. Caring, loving me unconditionally, advised, scolded me, feed me, educated me and most of all took me in as a family.

Sigh… too many things to say, too many feelings to express if only words could permits and language could translate. Unfortunately it can’t. That warm feelings, that glow in my heart that love that I feel is not something that can be translated. This transaction medium failed me, but does this means my love for mummy failed me? No. it just meant that something big, sacred, pure and unconditional sometimes are best to be unexpressed. After all, Jeannie Cheah Koo Yook Foong(mummy) already knew.

Designer i love for the moment

There are limited choices of brands available in KL that could dress up a not so funky, not so conservative, not so sporty guy like me. Most of the time I had been going to the same designers or brands all over and somehow I’m getting tired of wearing the same boring designers. Shops that I usually visit for some clothes mainly reside in KLCC as I go to gym there. After working out I usually gave a quick stroll around and pick up something to wear.

My usual designers are Armani, Calvin Klien, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Laurent, DKNY umm I think that’s all that I can afford rite now hahahah. Other brands that I do wear are Zara, Reply, Guess, British India, Timberland, Topman, Nike and occasionally I will visit Padani or SEED (I kinda like their clothes, but they are always on sale so there is no point buying them when they have new arrivals.)

A few months ago I discovered Ted Baker, ok ok I know its kinda lame coz everyone knows about Ted Baker! As interesting as their boutique their clothes are actually really nice! Ok I admit it I love their Interior rather that their clothes. Amazingly they also sell swimwear hahahah. I think you guys should check out their website, it’s really cheeky and fun at http://www.tedbaker.com .

pictures are courtesy of http://www.markleo.net/blog/

When it comes to dressing up I really don’t know what I am doing and I end up with the same things on my back but I love to see interesting boutique designs, packaging and marketing strategies used by these designers. Truly innovative.

Perfume i love

One of the things I can’t live without are my perfumes. It just felt wrong to go out without it. Loads of men do not realised that they have body odour, of cause a simple deodorant would work but bare in mind that your whole body do sweat. So if your armpits don’t stink your other body parts will. You can’t expect to be bathing in deodorant correct? A much simpler solution is to wear perfumes, why? It is a simple logic, the smell of your perfume would mask out the smell of your sweat.

There are some tips that I can provide you with about buying your dream perfume.

  • Try the perfume before you buy it.
  • When you are testing perfumes limit yourself to only three as your nose wouldn’t be able to differentiate more then 3 scent. Ask the salesperson to provide you with coffee beans. This should refresh your smell senses again.
  • The same perfume will smell different on different people because it will react differently to each person's body.
  • Wait for 10 minutes after applying the perfume; it will give you the right smell after it reacts with your skin.
  • Beware of certain ingredients in perfumes that can give you an allergy reaction (consult your Dr or from experience), the safest way to test perfume is on a piece of paper not your skin.

Here are some interesting facts about perfumes:

  • Women have a keener sense of smell than men.
  • The sense of smell is affected by your medication, diet and lifestyle.
  • Perfumes react differently on blondes, brunettes and redheads.
  • Our ability to remember smell is greater than the ability to remember things that we have seen.
  • Our sense of smell is sharper in the latter half of the day.
  • The older you grow the less sharp your sense of smell is.
  • Perfumes rise and if worn only on the face or behind the ears, it will rise and vanish quickly.
  • Oily skin holds perfumes better than dry skin.
  • Perfume once opened will fade with time.
  • Increase in altitude reduces the lasting ability of a perfume.

I would like to thank my late God mother for teaching me all that I know about perfumes; she is truly a master of scent. Not forgetting my own mother who bought me my first perfume and still buying me perfumes till today. I love you both.

For Fun

Product (RED)

I had always wanted this red ipod which is one of the Product (RED)’s featured product. (the sentence sounds weird) The Product (RED) fund is a fund that aids countries that are battling with AIDS. It is amazing how a purchase of an ipod or a t shirt could actually change the lives of so many people in country like Africa which is battling AIDS. The website for this fund is rather interesting because they designed a calculator that calculates the items you will buy from Product (RED) and translate them to how much aid you are giving the Africans. This website made me realised how much I can do for this world just by doing what I do best which is shopping. I hope you will take some time and visit Product (RED)’s website to understand and learn more on how you can help to make a difference in this world. That extra t shirt you buy any other day may help make a difference in this world if it’s “Product (RED).

I miss FF

It has been a week since I last did it. I miss FF so much! I am an official junkie, I love the adrenalin rush, I love being able to sweat like hell, I love the exhaustion it gave me, I love the heat burning down my muscles when I over worked it and I love the good night sleep it gave me after that. Yes I am an official Gym Junkie. I had frozen my account for a month due to the commitments I have with work, work and work. I hate work! You may think its absurd to miss working out and a gym but you have no idea how much satisfaction you will get by working out daily. It’s like drugs, addictive! Hahaha.

Those of you who don’t really work out wouldn’t understand this. I felt deprived and when I go back from work I have absolutely nothing to do or anywhere to go except home. Now I truly understand why working men go to gym, aside from avoiding their wives at home they are adrenaline junkies. ( wives out there I suggest you sign up for the same gym as your husbands do, there are loads of temptations th
ere. Better keep an eye on them hahahah) here are some pictures of my beloved Gym!

Be Ripped

I figured since I posted about exercise and skin care I might as well post about nutrition. I am currently a fan of Horleys dietary supplements. This is a product I would highly recommend to those who are serious about loosing weight and maintain muscles. No, I am not ripped yet! YET ok, but I will be hahahah (confidence is a key to success J ). With good daily exercise, healthy diet and some supplements everyone can get those Greek god features and for women Greek goddess. If it still doesn’t work I suggest you to just go and have Lipo suction done and die (lol I’m kidding ya).

The product I am using now is called Horleys Ripper Factor. There are many other products in the market I had tried over the passing years but nothing had worked like this one did. I feel healthier, burn fats faster and best of all I feel more energetic. You can view the product information at www.horleys.co.nz I can assure you that this product really works but I can also assure you that it would not work if you don’t WORK OUT, so don’t be such a lazy bum. There is also some exercise tips and eating guides at the website that can help you achieve your dream bod.

Weight loss is not for lazy bums and don’t give excuses such as no money to go to gym and all there are loads of exercise that needs almost nothing to start such as jogging or stairs climbing. When there is a will there is a way. Cherios!

Memories

Sometimes when you can’t find where your car is parked or where your car keys are you tend to freak out. Yeah, I did. It started out with minor things that most people would call careless, over the times I tend to forget dates, names of people or things and sometimes where I am or what I am currently doing. Yes I admit it I am suffering memory lapse and a sometimes memory loss. I had been having this for a very long time. Without my organizer and phone I think I would be gone by now.

It doesn’t stop there, sentences are harder for me to construct on a regular basis. Pronunciation is getting more difficult and spelling is a nightmare. I am scared, I am upset and I know I’m in denial but I am determined to convey this message to many who read my blog. I want them to understand why I always seemed to be blur and distant at times. Most of all I want them to be aware that this could be happening to them as well.

I did some research to understand my condition and according to the FDA ( www.fda.gov )there are many causes for this “thing” I am suffering from. Of cause I am not qualified to do my own dignosis but I figured why not share these knowledge I got from the research. There are many causes for memory lapse and loss but the most interesting and common ones are as below. ( the below text are strictly copied from www.fda.gov to avoid any misunderstanding of the true meaning of the discussed issue)

1. Medications. Examples of medications that can interfere with memory include over-the-counter and prescription sleeping pills, over-the-counter antihistamines, anti-anxiety medications, antidepressants, some medications used to treat schizophrenia, and pain medicines used after surgery.

2. Alcohol and illicit drug use. Heavy alcohol use can cause deficiencies in vitamin B1 (thiamine), which can harm memory. Both alcohol and illicit drugs can change chemicals in the brain that affect memory.

3. Stress. Stress, particularly due to emotional trauma, can cause memory loss. In rare, extreme cases, a condition called psychogenic amnesia can result. "This can cause someone to wander around lost, unable to remember their name or date of birth or other basic information," Mani says. "It usually resolves on its own."

4. Depression. Depression, which is common with aging, causes a lack of attention and focus that can affect memory. "Usually treating the depression will improve mood and the memory problems may then also improve," Mani says.

Yes, I am suffering from depression and stress; I take antihistamines for my allergies and pain killers for my migraine how ever I don’t do drugs or alcohol. These causes of memory lapse or loss are causes that we can avoid easily by living a happy healthy life, so I hope you readers would try to as I will as well. Good luck.

Welcome to my life!

This is how i feel rite now!

Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you
Do you ever wanna runaway?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life

Do you wanna be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Are you desperate to find something more?
Before your life is over
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With their big fake smiles and stupid lies
While deep inside you're bleeding

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me

No one ever lied straight to your face
No one ever stabbed you in the back
You might think I'm happy but I'm not gonna be okay
Everybody always gave you what you wanted
Never had to work it was always there
You don't know what it's like.

Welcome to my life sucker!
ps: lyrics by simple plan

Exercise I love for the moment

Pilates is a form of stretching and burning exercise that is slowly taking importance and making name recently. It is a system of mind-body exercise evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates. Although Pilates had been around for many years its popularity in Malaysia is rather low compared to other form of exercise such as aerobics and yoga. Among the benefits of Pilates are:

  1. Correcting spinal and pelvic alignment, and completing concentration on smooth, flowing body movement.
  2. Build strength without "bulking up" - gain long, lean muscles and flexibility
  3. Develop a strong core - flat abdominals and a strong back
  4. Create an evenly conditioned body and prevent sports injuries
  5. Learn efficient patterns of motion

You can learn more about Pilates from this website which I based my facts on: www.piltes.com here is a short 10 minutes Pilates video for fat loss. Enjoy.
